You’ve asked that to several people, but that’s irrelevant to this discussion.
I Imagen you’re trying to do some “Aha! You subscribe to [x] and they did [y], so you are a hypocrite!” type shit. But let’s be honest: no one has time for that.
My FB feed (I know) had at least 4 of my friends posting their cancellation. I’m doing my tomorrow only because I was one espisode away from finishing a series.
So what you’re saying is you aren’t currently watching a show and so you feel this is a good time to stop that service and get another service which is probably what you’re usually doing anyway. Tell me the other streaming services you have and I will judge you based on what those streaming services have done in the past, and question why you still have them.
No one is
I cancelled today.
Disney+ and Hulu have been two of my staples that I have subbed to for years and years.
But oh well, they don’t deserve my money right now so screw 'em.
“Right now”
See you in a few months when something new is released and you decide to forgive them.
Nah. It’s pretty easy to not watch TV.
Don’t assume other people will do things.
But you had it, so you do, and when you find a new show you will get it again. You’re going back eventually, and they know this.
Yeah, I had it for years before they just showed their whole ass. So I canceled.
At this moment, I’m not going back. And, no, I can’t predict what’ll happen in five years or whatever, but that’s not some gotcha you think it is.
If there’s a show I REALLY HAVE TO HAVE, which is unlikely, my library will probably have it.
So which services do you have?

You seem to have time.

See, there’s a large flaw in your assumption there: That I care who you are to even be judged by you. You couldn’t be more wrong.
Don’t worry, a non answer just shows the world who you are. Not that either of us care.
That’s half the joke. Disney has the market cornered and fully saturated. What we’re seeing is a slowdown in the consumer economy, not a boycott.
But pretending a recessionary wave is some kind of political movement makes the austerity feel righteous.
Right, no one is canceling Disney for political reasons, they’re canceling it because they need to eat.
I just canceled last night because of this. I’ll just have to find the time to finish Andor S2 in the next couple of weeks.
Nope, cancelled my Hulu/Disney the other day.
Technically it runs the rest of the month, but a shit ton of people are all doing it.
Fuck the mouse.
And since the right gave up on them like a decade ago, the left cancelling is really going to fucking hurt.
It’s not just about getting Disney to back down, it’s to set an example so the next corp re-evaulates if bowing to trump is worth it.
So which streaming services do you have?
Spoiler: It’s always worth it. average Americans, like the President, always blink first.
