The senior official explains that there is no process per se for dealing with trans people as a “threat group,” but feels that trans individuals will be increasingly targeted under the banner of “violent extremism.”

Under the plan being discussed, the FBI would treat transgender suspects as a subset of the Bureau’s new threat category, “Nihilistic Violent Extremists” (NVEs).

    I thought the FBI was a law enforcement agency tasked with investigating crime, rather than an organ of state repression and persecution of vulnerable minorities.

    I guess I must’ve been mistaken. One wonders how the men and women of the FBI feel about their new job?

      Lol, you wouldn’t have been correct for like the entirety of the FBI’s existence. No 3 letter agency in the US has been for the greater good of the people.
