Have they tried not taxing all imports for literally no reason at all?

I don’t know for some reason I feel like that might help.

    Democrats: Good Economy

    Republicans: Bad Economy

    Democrats: Good Economy

    Republicans: Bad Economy

How many more times do we need to see this pattern before American’s hamster brains start putting two and two together?

So many can’t tell the difference. As a matter of fact they applaud actions that overheat the economy that leads to inevitable crashes like combining deregulation with reducing taxes and interest rates. Then when it all comes to roost their solution is austerity.

We aren’t even in the mass layoff stages yet. Those are coming around summer next year.

The administration and GOP is going to do whatever they can to silence job fears until right after the 2026 elections are rigged and they stay in power, then they will still blame Biden.

Exactly what happened to Biden. But this time the mess is going to be WAY bigger. So the Republicunts will be able to put up a candidate as bad, if not worse than Trump, and they’ll win because Americans are fucking stupid and they’ll blame whoever the sitting president is, even if things are recovering well, like they were under Biden.

Stupid country will get stupid results.

I imagine an infusion of cash to the market and a reprieve on tariffs that year.

They may have decided that the easiest way to make people feel like the economy is doing well during an election year is to first screw it up the year prior.

I absolutely hate that some of my biggest recognized complishments were only possible because I screwed up the first time around. It’s not too bad when at least I’m fixing someone else’s screw ups, but averting a screw up no one even knew could happen is worthless for reputation building…

All those fired government workers will have to step up and pick vegetables, build houses, disembowel chickens and cows, and build cars.

Funny, when I was a kid in the '60s reading science fiction, those were the jobs we would create robots for.

All the “genocide” shit. As if Taco and pals were going to be any better. But we had a lot of single-issue idiocy on this anyway.

FFS. Now we might just get blood in the streets in Gaza, AND here at home AND in random countries that Taco decides to go to war with.

Way to go. This is some real 9-dimensional chess.

Sorry but do either of you folks believe we’d be four months from societal collapse if Trump hadn’t won?

I didn’t much care for her, either but she would’ve bought all of us another four years of boredom before we had to deal with Trump again, and by that time he’d be four years closer to death and a voterbase four years over him and onto another obsession.

The long-game is the only one that matters. Gaza could’ve likely not been prevented, but eased? I’m willing to bet what Palestinians are left would be better off of she were president. Gaza itself likely not, but we can’t have everything unless you’re all willing to throw some bricks and start some fires.

A fellonious pedophile sits in the white house and you’re still on your ass, so… guess not

I was told by many stupid fucks that Trump winning would do a thing to activate leftists or that these uber sexy single leftists were already hot and available in my area and doing all of the activisms and organizings that could ever be done, so it wasn’t actually a problem if Trump won.

Then he wins and shocked Pikachu face, these marvelous leftists that own the streets were nowhere at all to be found.

Democrats are pathetic, sure. But so is this supposed mass movent of online leftists, that just needs a bit more accelerationism to activate bro, I promise bro, just a little more fascism and we’ll revolution, bro! I’m definitely not a concern troll, bro! No way bro!

this is how I feel. that there is some sort of civil/revolutionary war romance idea when people really need to look at history and how often civil/revolutionary wars actually resulted in a better situation and of those how many had some sort of external assistance to get them to a better situation.
