Firefox on my old laptop shit the bed after the last update… seriously it used to be 2-5% cpu usage when idle and now it’s like 40% and it is fucking slow… this laptop has had arch on it for almost 10 years and has been smooth sailing until this last Firefox update. Makes me sad. I like Firefox but if they keep the enshitification up, I’ll have to switch to something else

yes, some stuff is just bad. I usually downvote and then block the community if it shows up

but I have been on the lemmy now for long enough to have a good collection of communities and rarely use the all set. So I don’t find I have to do this as much anymore.

I actually enjoy going to new and helping things with an up vote even if I don’t really care what it is but it looks like it should get more attention

I hate it too… My boss kept trying to get me to use AI more (I am a senior system admin/network admin) in a very small shop. Fucking guy, he retired at the beginning of the year and I have had to spend the last 6 months cleaning up the shitty things he did with AI. His scripts are full of problems he didn’t know how to fix because AI made it so complicated for him. Like MY MAN if you can’t fucking read a powershell script… DON’T FUCKING USE IT TO OPTIMIZE A PRODUCTION DATABASE…

I fucking hate AI and if it was forced on me, I’d fucking quit and go push a broom and clean toilets until I retired.
