Excellent video. I watched it last week. It made me leery of over half the items in my house as possibly contributing to my (unknown) PFAS load. It also makes me want to go test for it just to reveal what’s there. One more thing to think about. Yay.
There were a few sites that tracked manufacturer adoption of when the telemetry black boxes got installed, but I cannot find the specific ones I referenced a few years ago. You can “shop” for telemetry insurance and check that way too. The car won’t be eligible if it doesn’t have the hardware.
Pre-telemetry cars from the naughties are the sweet spot. No cell connection either. New cars are icky.
If I had seen the printed name I would use the Peruvian pronunciation not knowing any better. I got the correct one from the article and given the topic felt it was a playful and appropriate tweak of the spelling so others might know too.

If they decide to go to court over the dealer name, which she now owns, the legal process may turn over stones and shine too much light on them. Dealerships don’t like to do that. Even this “repo” or recovery could be a variation of a “yo-yo” scam, but they’d have to be working with the finance company for that to work in this case, I think. Still a maybe. For now, she’s out a car and if she had a trade-in that’s likely gone too. But I think that will change soon enough. Good on her!
I have attended protests and will do so again, but I have no illusions that the fascists will simply ignore them. This may build up more frustration from people, but the sooner we can plan a general strike the better. The nazi ticks are just burrowing deeper.
Will Booker’s actions amount to anything? Did walking out accomplish anything? I checked his voting record after the big hullabaloo from his 24hr speech that I watched a good deal of. His words didn’t seem to match his actions. But I am not in his district and thus not as intimate, so perhaps I am incorrect? AIPAC has a stranglehold on most US reps including the dems in my district.

As Texas did during educator shortages by lowering the standards to allow the unqualified to “teach”. There was also a push to draw from ex-military and other conservative demographics, but I don’t recollect the exact details. This compromise in quality was furthered by a scandal that had proxies taking the teaching standards tests for the already unqualified. So everything is going according to plan. /jfc
