Let’s just grab whatever’s left in the Febo wall of death and throw it in there, then just put a stake right through my heart.
It’s funny because I’m generally pretty open to fusion/modern cuisine, but there’s some childhood dishes where I turn full French and will start crying if you mistreat it, we have this in common with Italians.
Not surprised coming from someone on a .nl instance, you also put broccoli and cauliflower in there, you absolute heathens.
I’m a fondue traditionalist, we don’t fuck with a good thing, the only thing that’s supposed to go in the cheese is bread. But I’d be lying if I said I’m not thinking of dipping a cube of gruyère next time…
“However some scientists worry countries are placing too much faith in tech that has not been fully tested.”
No shit, why are we relying on android data from phones vibrating, surely places prone to earthquake should have actual scientifically accurate earthquake detectors and a government-led way of issuing the warning, like they do here every first Monday of the month when testing the raid alarms.
The best is to mix, in my neighborhood in the Netherlands you have some free standing single family homes, big apartments, small apartments, row houses (what we have), mix of social/private, and with shops available on foot/bike. This is in a “village” a bit outside the big towns. Suburbs have basically the same format with a bit higher apartment towers but you get the public transport directly to the center on top (and pay accordingly for the privilege). Now unfortunately, good planning and infrastructure is only one part, because the prices are definitely crazy here as well and it’s a big issue, but that’s due to the capitalism aspect of it, not the urban planning.
And by “some of them”, you mean an estimated 6500 workers have died building the stadiums in Qatar. Didn’t stop Johnny football from enjoying his pints with the games.
