      Yes, but also liver and kidney. They attributed the bruising on his hands to frequent hand shaking or aspirin use. Aspirin use is pretty hard on the liver. If we could see his natural skin color, jaundice could narrow it down to liver failure.

      deep vein thrombosis can result ina clot that reaches the heart, lungs or brain, aka stroke. one of my grandparents had a-fib which caused a large stroke to dislodge and went to the brain

        not if he strokes out first from the DVT sending a clot. he most likely will be on anti-clotting medication long term.

      Pedal edema is a sign of heart failure yes.

      At his age with his lifestyle and diet? Dude has CHF fullstop. How advanced though is another matter.

        Look, I know the world will be a better place without this clown, but this just isn’t how health risk works. Most smokers don’t get lung cancer. Most drinkers don’t get liver disease. Most people who die young don’t have any especially unhealthy habits. Life just isn’t fair in this way and pretending it is denigrates a lot of good people who are suffering.
