Conservative activist Charlie Kirk has died after being been shot at a campus event in Utah, says President Trump
-
Kirk - an influential ally of the president - was known for holding open-air debates on campuses across the country
-
“The Great, and even Legendary, Charlie Kirk, is dead,” writes Trump. “No one understood or had the Heart of the Youth in the United States of America better than Charlie”
The republican traitor swine must be held to account.
Looks like all that evil he put into the world finally paid off.
Sic sempre douchbag.
Welp. You know the drill boys.
Nothing we can do about gun violence.
Thoughts and prayers.
Safer Doors.
Etc.
You’ve confused the mass shooting of school children, with the assassination of a Trump ally and mega right-wing pundit.
The political ramifications and blowback couldn’t be more dissimilar.
Just wait and see how much “can be done” about gun. Mind you it will be nothing about actual guns or gun violence, but lot of right-wing political levers are already moving to take full advantage of his death.
Woosh maybe? They were sarcastically repeating the talking points made by the people who argue against gun control… which included Kirk himself.
I understood the sarcasm, but I’m pointing out how radically different this is situation is.
That sarcasm is rooted in the fundamental misunderstanding of the new political meta this shooting has unlocked.
Not just safer doors, we need outdoor doors. Doors on building roofs. In courtyards. In amphitheaters. Doors everywhere!
