This is so backwards and crooked.

The government is supposed to solicit bids for specific projects and then choose the vendor/supplier with the best bid.

Instead, they’re starting with a pre-chosen supplier with a pre-existing set of products and then having them go on a fishing expedition looking for government projects they can create to have an excuse to buy those products.

This is completely reversing the proper order of doing things and in the process eliminating all checks on corruption and waste.

Great, hmrc’s chatbots are about to become even more annoying to deal with and I’m going to have to deal with clients told the wrong thing by them

LLM are so useful that the company needs to advice the government on what they could use the LLM for, after years of the public having access to the tools.

If AI is so smart, couldn’t it find its own uses?

Just another case of the cocAIne fraud bubble perpetuating itself even further.

They should hunt for the paperless society while they are down there. Or at least find my flying car, since I can’t seem to.
