Resonite VR is a multiplayer VR game that mixes VRChat with the ability to program everything in the world, in real time and in-game. They have just released a major performance update, mostly due to removing a bunch of functionality outside of unity.
I don’t know if I can overstate the performance improvement. Loading times went from ~5-10 seconds to essentially unnoticeable. Inventory and new object spawning both feel extremely responsive. If you were on the low-end for trying VR before, and still have the hardware, give it a look! I’m quite impressed.
I’ll add that Overte VR is the FOSS competitor. It also runs quite well, though is not quite feature competitive afaik.
Both are great but I’m more sticking with Resonite but visiting Overte from time to time.
Very similar for me. I suspect Overte will feel better for me when I setup hosting my own avatar, world, etc.
Want been able to get avatar setup on Overte.
