Nothing to see here. Just the vice president meeting with the owner of Fox News and the Wall Street Journal.

Definitely not suspicious.

I’ve said from the beginning that trump will be out right after the midterms, or whenever the regime using him as a figurehead decides it’s safe or beneficial to get rid of him (they’ve needed him so far and still do for now). But as soon as they don’t (which is why I say after the midterms so JD can have 2 full terms), he’s gone. My theory is that it will be made to look like a (physical, not mental) health issue.

I don’t think the Epstein stuff will hurt him with the base other than a temporary blip. They just need to provide a decent rationalization and the base will eagerly latch onto and run with it, to resolve the cognitive dissonance that this has brought to the surface for some of them. But if somehow enough of the base does turn on him, he’s out that much sooner.

Donald Trump cannot trust JD Vance.

If I was advising Trump, id tell him to protect himself with extreme prejudice.

I’d also ask if Vance had any undue influence in getting all of Rupert Murdochs secret agents (fomer fox news hosts) appointed.

The situation around Trump must be unbelievably tense. With the Epstein troubles and now the health issues Trump might be leaving sooner than expected and everybody must be wondering how to position themselves. Wrong choices might have dire consequences.

JD might be smart enough to know that Trump needs to die after the mid terms for JD to be eligible for two more terms.

Or, he might not care, because he understands he doesn’t have enough charisma to win the election on his own, so he needs more time to establish himself as a sitting President to have any hope.

Oh, I would very much argue the contrary point. Nobody (except Peter Thiel) gives a damn about JD Vance. Do you think Republicans in Congress would set their own constituents’ concerns aside in order to pass President Vance’s “One Big Beautiful Loveseat” bill?

There will still be elections; there have to be, in order to even seat a new Congress. The only issue is how ratfucked they will be. If Trump is still breathing and in office during the midterms, he knows how to not only rile up the base, but also how to play dirty. Trump has been playing dirty since before JD Vance was born. Vance simply won’t know how to do it properly, and no amount of Crypto dollars will cover up that he doesn’t connect to the “common clay of the West” like Trump somehow does.

Yes because I think Congress actually wanted this bill passed and any complains they had expressed about it where purely for show. Even with JD they would back the bill because that’s what their owners wanted. They don’t care about constituents.

As for Trump vs JD I think it’s hard to tell at this point. Trump is senile and not doing anything special now when it comes to strategy. I think he serves more as an excuse than reason for the bills, i.e. Republicans feel like they can vote for unpopular bills because Trump will take the blame not because they are forced to do something against their will. And it’s working because while Trump’s approval is falling Republicans are still likely to maintain control of the house. I think JD can do the exact same thing but he will be easier to control for the donors.

The thing that baffles me about charisma is it can be very divisive.

To me Trump has the charisma of a sweat-soaked week-worn gym sock, but some people find him extremely compelling.

I’m not saying JD has that kind of charisma; I’m just saying I would have no way of knowing.

Trump is Cocomelon for racist manchildren. Jimmy the Loveseat can sound vaguely coherent in carefully scripted and rehearsed contexts but anything even REMOTELY improvisational and he falls apart like a wet napkin. He’s a blatant puppet who was chosen purely for the ability to fit the largest number of rolexes in his colon.

Trump has that kind of charisma that appeals to morons. Vance doesn’t have any kind of charisma at all.

My boss makes me check in from time to time too.

    It’s not micromanaging. It’s a quarterly review.

If they had to meet more than that he should be worried.

But I think he’s fine. He’s not gonna lose his job.
