      I remember trying to use “calm down” as a power move when I was in high school. I’m sure it didn’t at all telegraph to everyone in earshot that I was too fragile to face up to the discussion and too terrified to offer anything useful.

        I’m not going to waste my time reading replies from a stranger that are 90% ad hominem. Be more polite if you want to discuss things with people you don’t know.
