I think I will go with fedora and KDE.
Is the laptop in the link suited for light gaming under fedora. Something like stronghold crusader definitiv edition. I will mostly will use it for photos videos web surfing testing stuff and maybe some coding learning.
PS my take on a mascot for fedora because why not.
