Depends on balancing, I like the idea of managing adventurers, sending them out on missions, always wanted a guild based colony sim type game

Really like the concept of a game like cortex command, broforce, etc. having deathmatch pvp with the physics and destructible environment

Its dead 90% of the time but its resally fast to flick through them and find one with an active lobby.

I think ppl get terminal anxiety but thats less and less of an issue, like you don’t need to ever touch it because of stuff like octopi, software/discover/bazaar,etc. I remember just getting anxious thinking id forget a command I really need to remember and I wouldn’t have internet axis and id be fked (not an issue lol)

Yeah, but stremio has weird scaling, pip can scale however small or big, stremio has to take up like over a 1/4th of the screen by default

Thats why I cant play them, whats the point, cant open it in 10 years and have nostalgia over it, none of them seem that fun to me, but visual progression is my favorite part of games so they aren’t really meant for me, I miss cool looking stuff meaning the person nolifed the game

Virtual hat made me laugh, as a kid I bought the first version of this back when this game was still semi popular, I fr wasted some of my birthday money on virtual hat

idk man I jumped straight in with cachy(arch based), and its great, I went back and tried other distros this month, back to cachyos its solid, (def had some weird issues with freezes reinstalling tho, had to redo it a few times, no idea what screwed it up, but ive had similar issues with windows where reinstalling took 4 hours not like 10 minutes.

I really like their defaults and post install gaming packages speeds things up. I thought endeavor wasn’t bad either, just would have to manually seek the few things I need for gaming.

I think what was most confusing was des and distros and the difference between them bit ebing clear to me. Like I thought you needed certain distros for des (obv it does help to pick the right version and install with that in mind, but most popular ones allow you to use most des) Des and customization was what I cared about and the options confused me once I finally picked cachyos thinking it and plasma were one in the same lol. I mean its pretty obvious once you look it up but from the outside perspective the de seems like a part of each and it seems like you pick the os for the look/de when its just partially that, more like their theming and app selection pertaining to the look.

I just like the aur wiki and repo, most apps have a package on there that is up to date and works well, mixed with flathub it covers 99% of things. Debtap another .5% Big fear coming to Linux was compatibility, so many different app formats, I just wanted to be able to download anything I see thats for linux and have it work by default, mostly covered by aur + flathub.

I guess it doesnt detect a nonventoy (used impression) usb with the iso written to it either? A bit confused I dont mind limine but It not being able to boot from a recovery usb is a bit of an issue

NVM it did end up working off impressions and not ventoy? I think it ended up detecting my ssd which also has ventoy installed in the boot manager too, the name wasnt there before, odd

Like limine itself has no option for it, but bios wasnt showing one for my ssd or usb either, now it is after restarting a few times

Im trying to reinstall cachyos using the iso on the usb like ive done in the past but the iso and the ventoy usb its on dont show up as options, theres only cachyos (alresdy installed) and snapshots as the options

Damn, I really would like to pip the stremio app and not use the web version when using plasma, its a very convenient extension to have in gnome and keeps me there

My computer just freezes and needs to be manually restarted, happens during boot when the terminal screen and flags pop up usually, could be a cachyos issue tho, happens primarily after I sudo pacman -Syu before shutdown
